Sawyer started walking!!!!

We're so proud of our boy -- he just turned 18 months, and has begun walking.
The weather has finally warmed up, so we're excited to get outside on this holiday weekend! I promised Cooper some chicken salad, so I'd better hit the kitchen...

Home 2 months!!

Sawyer's doing great! The transformation since we've been home has been amazing. He's a much happier boy -- very attached to all 3 of us. His rash is cleared up, he's learned that bathtime is fun, he's learned to use a sippy cup, he's learned that he likes almost every food we offer him, he's almost learned to walk (getting so close), he's learned the bedtime routine and usually goes to bed fairly easily (whew!) -- it's just incredible. He's a happy, healthy, joyful little boy who makes us laugh each and every day. His current hobbies are babbling and pulling everything out of the kitchen drawers -- so funny! Anyway, I'm a horrible blogger, but there you have it -- my first blog post since our return from China. Now we just need the weather to warm up so we can get outside more :) Happy Spring everyone!!

Home sweet home....

We made it home! The flight was smooth -- Sawyer actually slept through quite a bit of it, which was a very pleasant surprise :) Now it's 4:00 in the morning and I'm wide awake -- got to get that inner-time clock back in the groove on USA time. Anyway, I'm going to take this opportunity to FINALLY post some photos -- can't wait to see and talk to you all soon!

Heading home....

Can't believe the trip is coming to an end already -- wish us luck on the flights home, not sure how Sawyer will do on such a looooooong airplane ride :) We loved every minute in China, but it sure will be nice to get back home. Thanks for all the warm wishes and support -- we can't wait for you all to meet Sawyer!!!!
We heard we missed some serious snow in Minnesota -- it's so warm here in Guangzhou, it's hard to imagine being cold again :)

We're in Guangzhou!

We're in the final part of the trip now -- it's going by so fast! Sawyer had his first airplane ride yesterday from Chongqing to Guangzhou -- he did very well, we just kept handing him crackers to keep him happy. Today was his medical exam -- he hated that :) Tomorrow we tour this area, we'll visit a museum and Buddhist temple -- and then Monday is the Consulate Appt. We were sad to leave Chongqing -- we loved that city. The orphanage visit was very emotional -- it was priceless to get to visit the place where Sawyer spent the first year of his life. It was also heartbreaking to leave the other kids behind when we left. I promise to post a million photos as soon as we return -- I'm really sorry that I've been unable to share the pictures.
